President Joe Biden announced in a video today that he’s tested positive again for COVID-19. Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the White House physician, said that it’s a rare rebound case associated with the anti-viral drug Paxlovid that Biden was treated with during his first run in with COVID-19.
Although the White House claims that rebound cases are rare after taking Paxlovid, it seems like quite a few people recently have had rebound cases, including Dr. Anthony Fauci. It should also be noted that in a moment of not trusting CDC recommendations, Dr. Fauci chose to treat his rebound case of COVID-19 with more Paxlovid.
Since the Biden administration likes to redefine words like recession, woman, safe and effective, maybe they’re also trying to redefine rare. Or maybe the word has already been redefined by the administration. How many times have we heard that some of the most dangerous COVID-19 vaccine side effects are rare?
